Tabitha Fox is a homeschooled sixth grader and a young historian with a deep love of Irish history and storytelling. She has written several companion books to her internationally award-winning stamp exhibits, The Norman Invasion of Ireland: The First 50 Years and The Blarney Castle. Through these projects, Tabitha brings history to life by combining careful research with a storyteller’s heart.
Tabitha has been fortunate to travel throughout Ireland and the British Isles, experiences that have further inspired her writing and deepened her connection to the past. Her love of Irish history also extends to Irish dance, where rhythm and tradition tell stories of their own. She credits her family—especially her grandparents—for nurturing her passion for Irish history, travel, and the art of storytelling.
Laurelei Fox is a tenth-grade homeschool student who is dual enrolled at Rowan College of South Jersey, where she is pursuing a major in marine sciences. She was born with a congenital heart defect, and after suffering a stroke as a toddler, she began rehabilitation that would unexpectedly lead her to Irish dance. It was during this time that she met her wonderful and supportive dance teacher, Miss Sara Peters, with whom she has danced for over ten years at the Peters School of Irish Dance.
Since 2023, Laurelei has been an active member of the Éire Philatelic Association, where she researched, wrote, and exhibited her internationally award-winning stamp exhibit, The Life of St. Patrick. Through this work, she has traveled extensively throughout Ireland, visiting her grandmother’s family, aunts, cousins, and many friends she has made through her research for her novel, The Children That Became St. Patrick.
Ries is a senior in high school who is dual enrolled at Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ), where he is pursuing studies in computer science, engineering, and mathematical sciences. With a strong interest in both technology and problem-solving, he balances his academic work with creative projects that reflect his curiosity and dedication.
This book was written as a memorial to his grandmother. The story is a combination of the many stories she told him throughout the years, along with pieces of family lore passed down through generations. Through this work, Ries hopes to honor her memory and preserve the stories and traditions that helped shape his family.
